†This offer applies to the CIBC Aventura® Visa Infinite Privilege card. You can qualify for this offer if you apply and are approved for a new CIBC Aventura® Visa Infinite Privilege* card beginning February 1, 2021. In order to be eligible for this offer, a client must abide by the terms and conditions set out as provided in footnotes below.
If you apply and are approved for a new eligible card, you can receive 30,000 Aventura Points when you have at least $3,000 in net purchases posted to your account during the first 4 monthly statement periods. The 30,000 Aventura Points will appear on your statement as follows:
- Welcome bonus of 25,000 Aventura Points
- Additional bonus of 5,000 Aventura Points
To qualify for the additional 2,500 bonus Aventura Points for each statement period, you must have at least $2,000 in net purchases posted to your account by the last day of each statement period. Purchases made during a statement period but posted after the end of that statement period will not count towards eligible spend for that month. If this occurs, that purchase will count towards eligible spend for the next statement period. For example, if your statement period is from November 8 to December 7, a purchase made on December 7 (transaction date) that is posted on December 8 (posting date) will not count for eligible spend for the December statement period. In this case, that purchase will count towards spend in the January statement period. If the November 8 to December 7 period was your 12th statement period, then the purchase made on December 7 and posted on December 8 would not count toward this offer.
Offer applies to newly approved card accounts only; transfers from an existing CIBC credit card to a CIBC Aventura® Visa Infinite Privilege* are excluded. Card account must be open and in good standing at the time the bonus Aventura Points are awarded. Aventura Points are awarded to you within 8 weeks after all qualifying purchase(s) are posted to your account. The following do not qualify as purchases: cash advances, balance transfers, CIBC Convenience Cheques, fees, interest, Aventura Points redemptions and payments. It may take up to several business days for purchases to be posted to your account. This offer is not transferable. This offer may be withdrawn or changed without prior notice at any time. This offer may be revoked if you appear to be manipulating or abusing it, or are engaged in any suspicious or fraudulent activity, as determined by CIBC in its sole discretion.
◊◊This offer applies to CIBC Global Money Transfers posted to the primary cardholder’s credit card account between February 1, 2021 and July 4, 2021. Earn 1.25 Aventura Points for every $4 CA spent on a CIBC Global Money Transfer. This offer may be withdrawn or changed without prior notice at any time. This offer may be revoked if you appear to be manipulating or abusing it, or are engaged in any suspicious or fraudulent activity, as determined by CIBC in its sole discretion.
