19 Cash Back of $10 or more can be redeemed at any time during the year and only by the Primary Cardholder. Authorized Users are not eligible to redeem cash back dollars. Cash back will be credited to the Primary Cardholder’s credit card account within 5 days of the date the redemption request is made. CIBC is not required to credit your cash back balance with cash back earned during a monthly statement period if your credit card account is not open and in good standing at any time during a monthly statement period. 26 Aventura Points will be cancelled if they remain unredeemed for 60 days after you voluntarily close your Aventura credit card account or within 12 months of the primary cardholder’s death.

32 Interest rates will change from time to time on at least 30 days prior notice to the Primary Cardholder. “Purchase” means card purchases less returns and does not include: cash advances, interest, fees, balance transfers, payments, or CIBC Convenience Cheques. “Cash” means cash advances, balance transfers and CIBC Convenience Cheques.
33 Cash advances do not earn cash back. Cash advances bear interest from the date they are taken from your credit card account and are subject to available credit and available cash.
34 The card is provided and administered by CIBC and also serves as your Costco membership card. When you have a card, you have a relationship with both Costco and CIBC.

36 Adapta Points may only be redeemed by the Primary Cardholder. Your Credit Card Account must be in Good Standing in order to redeem Adapta Points. Adapta Points may be redeemed on CIBC Mobile Banking® and CIBC Online Banking®, or any other method we make available to you from time to time. When you redeem Adapta Points, additional terms and conditions specified at the time of redemption may apply.
If it appears that you have sufficient Adapta Points at the time you request Adapta Points to be redeemed, but you in fact do not, you authorize CIBC to do any of the following, regardless of the reason for the deficiency:
- Complete your redemption request, but only for the number of Adapta Points then available in your Adapta Account; or
- Cancel the request.
Redemptions are non-refundable, non-reversible and non-transferable.
You may redeem your Adapta Points toward payment of your outstanding credit card balance or toward a recent purchase that was authorized, but that has not yet been posted to your Credit Card Account. You must have a minimum of 1,500 Adapta Points in your Adapta Account to redeem points toward your card balance.
Every 1,500 Adapta Points you redeem is equal to a $10 CAD payment to your outstanding credit card balance.
You may redeem your Adapta Points to make payments or contributions toward eligible financial products you hold with CIBC, including your CIBC TFSA, RRSP, Investor's Edge account, line of credit or mortgage.
