Military banking offers are available to the following members of the Canadian defence community (the “Canadian Defence Community”):

• Members of the Canadian Armed Forces (Regular and Reserve)
• Veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces
• Members of the Canadian Coast Guard
• Public Service members working at the Department of National Defence
• Those with an honorary designation
• Plus staff of the following groups:
  • Staff of the Non-Public Funds, Canadian Forces
  • Communications Security Establishment Canada
  • Military Family Resource Centres
  • Defence Construction Canada

Military banking offers are also available to family members of the Canadian Defence Community, including the spouse, common-law partner, parent, or dependent child or adult of an individual, living or deceased, who qualifies under at least one of the groups identified here.

To verify eligibility, you (or your eligible family member) may be asked to provide at least one of the following forms of identification:

• A letter confirming service issued by a recognized government, military or defence authority
• A valid NDI ID (National Defence Identification Card)
• A valid Veteran’s Service Card
• A CF One Card

CIBC may request updated or additional documentation at any time, including at renewal or when reassessing eligibility for program benefits. If valid eligibility documents can't be provided when requested, CIBC may withdraw program access as well as any associated benefits. Standard pricing, fees or rates may then apply, subject to the applicable product terms.

Family members such as the spouse, common-law partner, parent, or dependent child or adult of an individual, living or deceased, who qualifies under at least one of the categories of Canadian Defence Community member are considered eligible for these offers.
