If you’re on the CIBC Mobile Banking® App, select “resetpassword” from the menu.
Enter your 16-digit card number, expiry date and phone number.
To make sure it’s you, we’ll send a 6-digit, one-time verification code to your phone or smartphone. Select how you’d like to receive the verification code from the dropdown menu. You can choose to get a text message or voice call to any phone number you have on file with us. A text message is the fast way to get back into your account.
For account security, we’re no longer sending verification codes to personal or free email services. If you have more questions about one-time verification code, please refer to the verification code page.
Once you receive the verification code, enter it right away. The code expires after 10 minutes or if you enter it incorrectly 3 times in a row.
Didn’t receive a voice call? Some phone providers block toll-free numbers, which stops you from receiving the verification code through a voice call. Check with your phone provider. If you’re still having problems, go back to step 3 and select the option to receive the verification code as a text message.
Enter your new password. Enter your new password again. Select “Next.” Great! You’ve successfully reset your password.
