How to check your deposit accounts, investments, credit card balances and transfer money

Find out details about your account

In My Accounts, you can:

  • View account details
  • View or download transactions
  • Get eStatements
  • Set savings goals
  • Set up and view upcoming payments and transfers


What you do

  • Sign on to CIBC Mobile Banking®, CIBC Online Banking® or the CIBC Mobile Banking App


View account details

  • In Online Banking, select "My Accounts." Here, you'll find a list of your accounts with the balance in each one. If you want more details, including a list of transactions, select an account
  • In Mobile Banking and on the CIBC Mobile Banking App, select "My Accounts" to display your most recent transactions


Download transactions

  1. From the Online Banking home page under “More”, select “Download Transactions”.
  2. Choose the account and time period.
  3. If you use financial management software, select it from the drop-down list. 


Get eStatements

Skip the paper trail. View up to 7 years of your credit card and bank account eStatements online and on your mobile device. You can also view eStatements online for your personal lines of credit and investment accounts1. Sign up for eStatements in Online Banking.

  1. From the Online Banking home page under “Settings”, select “Statement Preferences”.
  2. Select “Edit Preferences” and then "eStatement". Your eStatements will appear in the CIBC Message Centre.
  3. You can also get your eStatements sent to your email address or your phone via SMS.

How to transfer money between your accounts

  • Sign on to Online Banking


Set a savings goal

  1. From the Online Banking home page, select “CIBC GoalPlanner”.
  2. Select “Create a Goal”.
  3. Enter how much you want to save.
  4. Use the sliders to adjust the target date and savings goal. We’ll show you how much you need to contribute each month.


Calculate your net worth

Tell us what you own, what you’ve saved and what you owe. We’ll show you your net worth.  

  1. Select "My Accounts", then “Net Worth”.
  2. Select “Add Asset” and “Add Liability” to insert new items.
  3. We’ll calculate your net worth.

Manage bills and payments

We’ll help you keep your bill payments and transfers on track by displaying your payments and transfer schedule in a handy calendar.

What you do

  • Sign on to Mobile Banking, Online Banking or the CIBC Mobile Banking App


Mobile Banking and CIBC Mobile Banking App

  1. Select “Manage Transactions”.
  2. Select “Add Transaction” then select “Schedule a Bill Payment”.
  3. Add your payee, amount, the account and payment frequency. Select “Next”.
  4. Verify the payment details.
  5. Select “Set Up Payments” to complete your request.


Online Banking

  1. From the home page, select “Manage Upcoming Transactions”.
  2. Select “Set up a Future Bill Payment” or “Transfer”. 
  3. Add your payee, amount, the account and payment frequency. Select “Next”.
  4. Verify the payment details.
  5. Select “Set Up Payments” to complete your request.

Have an Apple Watch?

You can check your balances at a glance, view your recent transactions and transfer money between accounts.

1. To transfer money, select “Transfer”.

2. Specify how much you’d like to send.

3. Select “Next”.
