Actively managed funds

By selecting certain securities while avoiding others, investment managers aim to surpass benchmark returns. Active portfolio management focuses on outperforming the market in comparison to a specific index such as the S&P 500 Index.

1 For periods greater than one year, the indicated rates of return are the average annual compound total returns as of the date indicated including changes in unit value and the reinvestment of all distributions and do not take into account sales, redemption, distribution or other optional charges or income taxes payable by any unitholder that would have reduced returns.

Index funds

Index funds are suitable for investors seeking a lower-priced, hands-off investment strategy to complement their overall portfolio. Instead of a fund manager actively selecting securities, the fund is managed in a way that it aims to obtain a return that approximates the performance of a specific index, such as the S&P 500 Index.
