Growth Funds

Growth or equity funds invest primarily in the stocks of different companies with the objective of generating capital growth. The emphasis on growth makes them a higher-risk investment.

Growth Index Funds

Index funds mirror the performance of a sample of securities (for example, bonds or equities) within a specific market, such as the S&P 500 Index. Indexing is referred to as passive management because, unlike active management, whose goal is to outperform a particular index or a blended benchmark, indexing does not rely on the ability of a fund manager to pick securities.

CIBC also offers Income Index Funds.
