Step 1

Register

  1. Select “Interac e-Transfer” from the navigation menu.
  2. Select “Get started.”
  3. Enter your personal details.
  4. Read and agree to the terms and conditions and select “Next.”
  5. Select how you’d like to receive your identity verification code — email or text message.
  6. Enter the verification code.


Now you're ready to receive money.

Step 2

Add a contact

  1. Select “Interac e-Transfer” from the navigation menu.
  2. Online Banking:
    Select “Contact List” then “Add New Contact.”
    Enter the information of the person you want to send money to.
    Select “Add Contact.”
    Mobile App:
    Select “Add Contact.”
    Enter the information of the person you want to send money to.
    Select “Save.”
  3. You will receive a verification code via text or phone call. Enter the code to add your contact.

Send money

  1. Select “Interac e-Transfer” from the navigation menu.
  2. Choose a contact to send money to.
  3. Enter the amount you want to send, choose the account you’d like to transfer from, and enter an optional message. Select “Next.”
  4. Enter a security question and answer. 
    If your contact is registered for Autodeposit, you won’t be asked for a security question.
  5. Online Banking: Select “Send Money.”
    Mobile App: Select “Yes.”
  6. Your contact will receive a notification and can claim the money within 30 days.
