You have 10 calendar days after purchase to cancel your Certificate of Insurance for a full refund, provided you have not departed on your trip and a claim has not been incurred.

Trip Cancellation & Trip Interruption Insurance

• Your eligible non-refundable, pre-paid travel costs will be covered up to the coverage amount purchased (up to $50,000), if you need to cancel or interrupt your trip due to a covered reason.

Baggage and Personal Effects Insurance

• Covers the eligible costs of replacing your baggage and personal effects (up to $2,000) if your baggage and personal items are delayed, damaged or lost while travelling.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance

• Provides up to $10,000 in the event of death, loss of limb or sight from an accident.

Trip Cancellation coverage reimburses up to the sum insured on your Confirmation of Coverage the prepaid, non-refundable payments or deposits if your trip is cancelled before the scheduled departure due to a specified covered reason, as outlined in your Certificate of Insurance (PDF, 600 KB) Opens a new window.. Covered reasons include, but are not limited to:

• Sudden and unforeseen medical emergencies affecting you, your travel companion, or a family member;
• A disaster which renders your principal residence uninhabitable;
• Job loss; and
• A new Government of Canada travel advisory is issued for your destination
