How to cancel a bill payment

Learn how to review and cancel recurring and one-time scheduled payments.

Manage your payments from anywhere

If you have a scheduled or recurring payment coming up and you need to cancel it, sign on to CIBC Online Banking^® to review and make changes.

You can cancel a payment on the day it’s scheduled, as long as you do so before 9:30pm ET.

With CIBC Online Banking or the CIBC Mobile Banking^® App, you can cancel recurring payments the same way you’d cancel a scheduled one-time payment.

Keep in mind that cancelling a recurring bill payment will cancel all payments in the series and you’ll need to set up your recurring payments again.
