Small Business GICs

CIBC Guaranteed Investment Certificates (GICs) provide your business with flexible and safe investment options. You're guaranteed to keep what you invest, while earning competitive interest on your money.

Which GIC is right for my business?

CIBC offers a wide variety of business GICs to meet your investment needs. Terms range from 1 day to 7 years and you can choose from cashable or non-redeemable products to suit your required access to invested funds.

Cashable GICs - Access to your money

Cashable GICs provide the flexibility of early withdrawal to cover unforeseen expenses (such as equipment repairs), or to take advantage of business opportunities.

CIBC Flexible GIC®

Build your investment portfolio with the freedom to cash out early - without penalty - after only 30 days

CIBC Redeemable GIC

Guaranteed fixed rate; withdraw your money at any time with specific early redemption rates

CIBC Cashable Escalating Rate GIC® (3- or 5-year)

Increasing annual rates over a 3- or 5-year term, and access to your money (with interest) on anniversaries

CIBC Variable Rate GIC

The interest rate is linked to the CIBC Prime Rate, and you can access your money at any time

Non-redeemable GICs - Maximize your returns

Non-redeemable GICs usually offer a higher rate of return compared to cashable GICs. They are ideal when you won't need to access your money for a certain period of time, and they can be used to help reach financial goals, such as a major purchase.

CIBC Long-Term GIC

CIBC T-Bill Rate GIC

CIBC Escalating Rate GIC® (3- or 5-year)
