Sandy Sharman leads CIBC’s People, Culture and Brand team, which is focused on building CIBC’s brand and creating an inclusive, engaged and purpose-led team that is building a relationship-oriented bank for a modern world.
Her areas of global accountability include human resources, communications and public affairs, brand, community investment, client experience, workplace and workforce transformation. Sandy and her team have enabled the bank’s transformation, instilling a connected, inclusive and purpose-led culture and team that is executing CIBC’s client-focused growth strategy, and helping make ambitions real for clients, team members and communities.
Sandy began her career in financial services as a bank teller. She’s a multi-disciplined and proven business leader with over 40 years of human resources and financial services experience at CIBC and other major financial institutions in both Canada and the U.S.
She has been inducted into the WXN “Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada” Hall of Fame and is a graduate of Dalhousie University, where she earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
