Stephen Scholtz is the leader for CIBC's global Legal function. He provides strategic advice to the CIBC Board of Directors and is responsible for overseeing legal strategy across the bank.
Stephen brings 20 years of leadership experience at CIBC, having held progressively senior roles. He previously held the position of Senior Vice-President and General Counsel, Canada, overseeing multiple lines of business. Before joining our bank, Stephen practised law at two leading Canadian firms, where he advised on complex legal, regulatory and governance matters.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Social Sciences and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
