CIBC is proud to be lead partner of the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan Am Games - CIBC

As Canadians, fans and hosts, we couldn’t be more excited. As Lead Partner we couldn’t be more committed.

At CIBC, we look for opportunities to invest in initiatives that matter to our clients and our employees, while enriching our communities. We believe that the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games does just that — it is an enormous opportunity for Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area. It will have a lasting impact on our youth, our communities and our economy.

Through our lead partnership of the Games, it is our vision to inspire a generation of young athletes, strengthen the values of our communities and leave behind a sustainable legacy for years to come.

Starting on July 10, 2015, more than 10,000 athletes, coaches and officials from 41 countries across the Americas and the Caribbean will arrive in Toronto to compete in 51 sports. The Games will engage more than 20,000 volunteers and are expected to attract more than one million visitors to the region. This will all take place in 17 municipalities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe area.

As Lead Partner, we will be participating in a number of events over the next 3 years leading up to the Games, including venue announcements, groundbreaking events, milestone celebrations and cultural events. To date, CIBC has announced that our brand will be associated with 4 key Games venues – The CIBC Pan and Parapan Am Games Athletes’ Village, the Pan Am and Parapan Am Aquatics Centre and Fieldhouse presented by CIBC, the CIBC Pan Am Park and the CIBC Pan Am and Parapan Am Athletics Stadium. These venues will serve as a lasting legacy for our communities to use and enjoy, while giving our youth a place where they can train, play, gather and compete.

The Games will have a significant impact on the business community and the economy. Procurement planning is currently underway for the thousands of contracts expected to be awarded. As the official bank of the Games, we are inviting, together with TORONTO 2015, business owners to find out more about the sourcing opportunities available.
