These are available to students enrolled in a college or university cooperative education program to help them gain related work experience.
Paid co-op work-term opportunities are available for students enrolled in recognized college or university cooperative education programs to work in their prospective fields. Co-op terms can be 4, 8, 12 or 16 months in duration and are available in all 3 terms of the year. Co-op positions are valuable opportunities to gain work experience in your related field of study and can lead to permanent employment opportunities.
Co-op opportunities are available in all areas of CIBC with the largest number of co-op positions available in technology. We look for students who are studying in IT related fields as well as students studying in business related fields. Business roles are available to students at the university level while technology roles are available to both college and university students.

Paid summer employment offers an opportunity for undergraduates, MBAs and/or Masters of other related fields to gain valuable work experience. Most of the undergraduate roles available are targeted to students studying business.
Undergraduate student positions are available most often to students during the summer between third and fourth year. Masters positions are available for students during the summer between their first and second year.
We look for candidates who demonstrate creative and strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, effective communication of ideas, leadership and teamwork skills.
