The Interac Sign-In service is a convenient way to access participating online government services. Instead of creating and managing a new username and password for each service, you simply signing in with your selected bank’s online banking credentials or those of any other participating Sign-In Partner.

Government Sign-In by Verified.Me is now Interac Sign-In service. For you, nothing changes. You can continue to rely on the same secure service you’ve use for years.

The Interac Sign-In service acts as an information filter between Sign-In Partners and the online government service. By brokering the connection, the Interac Sign-In service ensures

• no Sign-In Partner knows which government service you’re accessing, and
• no government service knows which Sign-In Partner you’re using.

The only information your Sign-In Partner supplies to the Interac Sign-In service is a randomly generated number. This number is created the first time you use the Interac Sign-In service and used again each time you sign in.

No passwords or personal information, such as name, address or date of birth, are exchanged when you sign in.
