The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has launched the CEWS to help employers keep and re-hire workers during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Canadian employers may be eligible for a subsidy of 75% of employee wages for up to 24 weeks, retroactive from March 15, 2020 to August 29, 2020.

For a faster funding experience and to avoid delays and holds on cheques, register for direct deposit with CIBC’s CRA Direct Deposit through CIBC Cash Management Online or CIBC Online Banking® for Business.
