We have developed our own internal proprietary model for assessing ESG factors that integrates into the overall evaluation of investment opportunities. By integrating risk analysis for both financial and non-financial factors, we deepen our understanding of our investments and the potential to enhance the long-term sustainable performance of our portfolios.

We’re also a member of the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance, the Canadian Bond Investors Association and a sustaining member of the Responsible Investment Association of Canada.

In 2020, CIBC Asset Management became a founding signatory to the Responsible Investment Association’s investor statement on diversity and inclusion, reflecting our commitment to strengthening socially responsible business practices and eliminating inequities in business, the workplace and society.
