CIBC has you covered.

[The wallet slides out. A phone fades in. A lock icon appears on the phone screen.]

Each cardholder on your credit card account can use CIBC Online or Mobile Banking to select a new PIN or change an existing PIN for their card from anywhere in the world.

[On the phone screen, an image of a credit card appears with a checkmark underneath. The card slides off the phone screen while another slides in. This second card is followed by another card.]

[The phone moves back. A globe fades in behind the phone. On the phone screen, a 4-digit PIN is entered. Three location markers appear on the globe.]

Here’s how it works.

[The scene changes. On the left side of the screen, a phone slides in from the bottom, displaying the CIBC login screen. Behind the phone, a teacup and book rest on a table.]

First, log on to your CIBC Online or Mobile Banking account.

[A card number and password are typed into the login screen.]

Haven’t registered yet? No problem. Just click Register to set up your online banking profile.

[The phone screen zooms to show the “Register” link at the bottom right corner.]

[The phone screen zooms out while the phone slides to the right. On the table in the background, a potted plant slides in from the left side of the screen.]

Once you’re logged in, select the credit card that you want to choose the PIN for.

[The phone screen displays the CIBC accounts page and scrolls down to the credit accounts. The account for a CIBC Visa card is highlighted and selected. The card details are displayed on the phone screen.]

Go to the Manage My Card menu and select Choose PIN from the options.

[Scroll to the bottom of the card details. The “Manage My Card” option is highlighted and selected. The phone screen darkens, and a menu appears as an overlay. The “Choose PIN” option is highlighted and selected.]

Follow the prompts to select a new 4-digit PIN for your credit card. Remember to choose a PIN that is secure and not easy to guess.

[A 4-digit PIN is entered, then re-entered. A checkmark appears next to a message that reads “PINs match.” The “Next” button is selected.]

Once you finish choosing your PIN, you’ll see instructions for completing your PIN selection.

[Instructions are displayed, listing next steps to complete the PIN change.]

[A calendar appears on screen. 14 days on the calendar are highlighted one-by-one. A page reading “14 days” appears in front of the bottom right corner of the calendar. The calendar fades out.]

You’ll have 14 days to add your PIN to your card.

[An ATM slides in and prints a receipt.]

This can be done at an ATM at a CIBC banking centre

[The ATM slides out, and a store slides in.]

or by inserting your card and entering your new PIN during your next in-store purchase.

[The store slides out, and a store counter slides in. Two presents and a point-of-sale terminal sit on top of the counter. All objects fade out.]

[A credit card slides up. A circle containing a checkmark grows in from the top right corner of the card.]

And with that, you’re done! Your new PIN is set, and you can continue using it until you want to change it again.

[The card moves to the side as a point-of-sale terminal slides up. The card is inserted into the POS terminal, checkmark appears on the terminal’s screen, and a receipt is printed. All objects on the screen fade out.]

[A phone fades in, displaying a credit card on its screen. The credit card slides up and a “Visit” button appears underneath it.]
