^† The CIBC Group Banking Mortgage offer is available for first-time home buyers, mortgage loans for new purchase, and mortgage loans that are transferred to CIBC from another financial institution, except where referred by a mortgage broker. Offer not available for Simplii or FirstLine Mortgages. To qualify for this offer, you must have a personal CIBC Smart Account that was opened through your employer’s Group Banking program with CIBC and will be used to make pre-authorized mortgage payments. You must apply for a CIBC mortgage loan between July 30, 2026 and November 1, 2026 and the mortgage loan must be funded within 120 days of the application date.

Mortgage loan must have a principal amount of $100,000 or more and be either a CIBC Fixed-Rate Closed Mortgage loan with a term of 3 years or more, or a 5-year CIBC Variable Flex Mortgage loan. This offer is limited to owner-occupied residential properties only. Commercial/investment properties, and properties not owner-occupied are excluded. For mortgage loans for first-time home buyers or mortgage loans for new purchase, qualifying clients will receive:

$4,500 on a mortgage loan amount of $1,250,000 or more;
$3,500 on a mortgage loan amount of $1,000,000 to $1,249,999;
$2,500 on a mortgage loan of $750,000 to $999,999;
$2,000 on a mortgage loan of $500,000 to $749,999;
$1,000 on a mortgage loan of $300,000 to $499,999; 
$500 on a mortgage loan of $100,000 to $299,999.

For mortgage loans that are transferred to CIBC from another financial institution, qualifying clients will receive:

$5,500 on a mortgage loan amount of $1,250,000 or more;
$4,500 on a mortgage loan amount of $1,000,000 to $1,249,999;
$3,500 on a mortgage loan of $750,000 to $999,999;
$2,000 on a mortgage loan of $500,000 to $749,999;
$1,500 on a mortgage loan of $300,000 to $499,999; 
$1,000 on a mortgage loan of $100,000 to $299,999.

^‡ An additional $500 cash back amount (“Reward”) will be deposited to qualifying Group Banking members who meet the offer eligibility.

All cash back amounts will be deposited in the personal CIBC Smart account 6 to 8 weeks after funding.

At least one borrower must be an individual who is eligible for CIBC’s Group Banking offer at the time of funding. Limit of one (1) Reward is available per eligible funded mortgage loan. For mortgage loans with multiple borrowers, only one (1) Reward is available per mortgage loan and will be issued to the CIBC Smart Account used for preauthorized debit.
