About
Éric Morin is the leader of—and driving force behind—the investment research activities at CIBC Global Asset Management (CIBC GAM), including global macro, credit, and fundamental equity research. Before advancing to this role, his responsibilities included covering G10 markets, followed by Emerging Asia, within the firm’s multi-asset and currency strategies.
Prior to joining CIBC GAM, Éric was a Senior Economist at the Bank of Canada in the International Economic Analysis Department, where he covered the United States and other advanced economies. He also served as a visiting economist at the European Central Bank.
Éric earned his B.B.A. in Applied Economics from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal and his M.Sc. in Economics from the Université du Québec à Montréal. He is a CFA charterholder.
