Steve Tutty

Steve is Senior Vice-President, National Office, and Wealth Solutions at CIBC. In this role, he leads key head office functions and oversight of Digital, Marketing, and Communications, CIBC Trust, CIBC Private Investment Counsel, Private Wealth National Office, and CIBC Private Banking, while also shaping the strategy for the development and management of wealth products and solutions. Collaborating closely with partners across the bank, Steve champions initiatives that enhance the client experience and foster responsible, long-term growth.

Previously, Steve was responsible for CIBC Private Wealth and Wood Gundy regional operations, where he helped expand the business in Western Canada and ensured the region’s perspectives were represented in firm-level management decisions. Steve brings over three decades of experience spanning sales management, investment management, product development and implementation, client management, strategy, marketing, finance, operations, and corporate transformation. He is a CIRO supervisor, Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager, and holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation—credentials that reflect his commitment to professionalism and client outcomes.

Community involvement is important to Steve and his family. Their primary support is for SickKids and Princess Margaret Hospital, informed by personal experience with the tremendous work of these organizations. Beyond work, Steve enjoys travelling with his wife and three children, fishing, and the outdoors.
