Edward Dodig

Edward Dodig is Executive Vice-President and Head of CIBC Private Wealth and Wood Gundy, Canada. He is responsible for the strategic direction for CIBC Private Wealth business within the Canadian market, and CIBC Imperial Service. 

Prior to this appointment, Edward was Managing Director and Head of Equity Markets, including sales, trading, underwriting, prime brokerage, alternative execution services and research within CIBC Capital Markets. He previously spent 2 years as Managing Director and Head of the Global Financial Solutions Group, where he was responsible for managing a global cross-asset sales team that delivers capital markets products and solutions to Pension Plans, Asset Managers, Insurers, Hedge Funds and Central Banks. 

Over the last 24 years he has also held numerous positions within Wholesale Banking, including Managing Director and Head of CIBC’s European and Asia Pacific Region based in London; Managing Director and Head of CIBC’s Retail Solutions Group; Head of Retail and e-Commerce Foreign Exchange; Executive Director, Foreign Exchange Sales; and Imperial Service Advisor, all with CIBC. 

Edward has a BA from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
