Barry Graves 

Barry Graves serves as the Managing Director and Region Head, Eastern Ontario, for CIBC Wood Gundy. In addition to his regional leadership, Barry also maintains oversight of the Northern and Eastern Complex as Branch Manager, providing strategic direction and business management across these key areas.

With over 25 years of experience in the private wealth management industry, Barry is deeply committed to delivering significant value to our clients and the communities we serve. He is known for his collaborative approach, working closely with advisors to build comprehensive practices and generate positive revenue flows. Barry’s multifaceted expertise spans customer service, risk mitigation, and the development of robust referral networks with our internal bank partners.

Barry’s passion for private wealth management has been instrumental in cementing strong, lasting relationships with both advisors and clients in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. He began his career at CIBC Investors Edge and has progressively advanced into a senior leadership role, now covering all of Eastern Ontario for CIBC Wood Gundy.

Barry is not only a dedicated professional, but also a strong supporter of various charitable organizations. Barry contributes to many causes such as the United Way, The Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, and Hockey Helps the Homeless, to name a few reflecting his commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

Outside of his charitable work, Barry enjoys spending his leisure time outdoors and travelling with his wife and two sons. His passion for both philanthropy and family is evident in all that he does.
