Amin Kanji.

Before joining CIBC, Amin was a Principal within the family office division of one of Canada’s largest financial institutions. Amin has worked first-hand with many ultra-high-net-worth clients in designing customized financial solutions focused on tax-efficiency, wealth enhancement and family harmony.

Before joining the banking industry, Amin worked as a Chartered Accountant with one of the Big 4 accounting firms and served as an appeals officer for the Canada Revenue Agency. As a former university lecturer, Amin is able to simplify complex financial concepts, so that clients can confidently consider the options available for their family’s future.

Outside of work, Amin volunteers with the Aga Khan Economic Planning Board, where he provides support to families who are considering the role of ethics and fairness within their overall estate plans.

Amin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with high distinction from Wilfrid Laurier University. He also holds the Chartered Accountant (CA), U.S. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) designations.
