Who qualifies for the CIBC Smart Account for Foreign Workers:
- People who have received permanent resident or landed immigrant status in the last 5 years
- Temporary resident workers who have a Canadian work permit issued for at least a 12-month term
To apply, you'll need to show proof of entry into Canada as well as a piece of photo identification:
- A Canadian Permanent Resident card
- Your passport, with work permit (IMM 1442), if applicable
