International Wires

Make same or cross-currency electronic wire transfers via the internet, directly from your registered CIBC FirstCaribbean personal or business account(s) to accounts at virtually all international banks


Sending Money Overseas [ ]

Itís easy to send money from CIBC FirstCaribbean. You can visit the nearest branch OR if you are an Internet Banking customer you can easily send money via the Internet Banking service*.
Whichever way you choose, the following information is necessary to ensure your funds are sent quickly and to the correct recipient:

  • Full name and address of Beneficiary (person you are sending the funds to) in the country where account is held
  • Beneficiaryís account number with beneficiary Bank where account is held
  • Full name and address of Bank the funds are being sent to (BIC code, country code, fedwire or sort code information may be necessary)

*To keep your funds safe and ensure that no one has compromised your account, we require two-factor authentication for International Wires via the Internet Banking service. Customers must first contact the Customer Service Centre to be issued with a token to satisfy the two-factor authentication requirement. (Itís easy to use and customers receive their tokens within 5 business days of the request).

Receiving Money from Overseas [ ]

Frequently, customers receive funds from overseas into their CIBC FirstCaribbean accounts. We partner with certain banks (intermediary bank) to facilitate the transfer of funds. Persons sending money to you from overseas are required to provide the following information to their bank to ensure you receive the funds into your CIBC FirstCaribbean account:
