Regulatory Capital

Regulatory capital is the amount of capital a bank or other financial institution has to hold as required by its financial regulator. CIBC Caribbean’s regulatory capital requirements are determined in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Bank of Barbados, which are based on the risk-based capital standards developed by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS).
