James Logan: Hello, my name is James Logan. I'm the Regional Vice President
for the Province of Ontario at CIBC Commercial Banking.
Today, it's my great privilege to sit with Sabine Veit, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bäckerhaus Veit.

Sabine, running a business is a risky and challenging enterprise.
Many businesses don't survive their first few years. Can I ask is there one thing that you've done really well that you think contributed to your success and your ability to grow?

>> Sabine Veit: It's my people. It's always my people.
[Sabine Veit, Founder and CEO, Bäckerhaus Veit]
We built a fantastic team.
No matter what you sell, I always say, the only business whatever in, is the people's business, it's about the team, it's about the fit, it's about do they share your core value, that's really important.
Make sure that they really buy into what it is actually that you are trying to achieve.
And if you get derailed, don't be afraid to listen to their opinion.
You don't want yes-sayers around your table. Always get the best you can afford and never be afraid of hiring people that are smarter than you.
Again, they can push back, you can take that opinion. You don't want yes-sayers.
Allow your team to fail and learn and embrace all of it.
I think that's what made us different and that's why I am still here because these people believe somehow in my big mouth.
[James Logan is speaking directly to the camera and laughs.]
>> James: Well, thank you so much for sharing your experience.
