With the CIBC Student GIC Program, you can transfer up to $50,000 CA.

Here’s an example based on a transfer of $20,635 CA:

Transfer $20,635 CA with no transaction fees when you transfer in foreign currency.

When you visit a CIBC Banking Centre, we’ll deposit $6,190.50 CA into your CIBC chequing account.

We’ll invest the remaining $14,444.50 CA into your GIC Program Account.

You’ll get the full amount invested in the GIC Program Account back in 11 equal payments over 1 year, plus you’ll earn interest!
