Export Documentary Credit

As an exporter, Export Documentary Credits (Export Letters of Credit) provide you with your buyer's bank's undertaking that you will be paid, provided you ship the goods and present the required documentation within a particular timeframe, as specified in the Export Documentary Credit. An Export Documentary Credit may reduce your payment risk.

If you are the beneficiary of an Export Documentary Credit and not the actual supplier of the goods, a Transferable Credit may be more suitable for your business needs. Learn more about the benefits of a Transferable Credit.
