How do I set up the App so it works with my CIBC credit card?

Once you’ve downloaded the App to an eligible smartphone (please ensure you have the most recent software update for your phone before downloading), open it, select Register Now and accept the Terms of Service to begin.

Complete the App Set-Up

Select Call Now to connect with a CIBC Telephone Banking Representative who will set up your mobile account and provide you with instructions to complete the App set-up.
Your mobile credit card information will be downloaded to your phone. You will receive a notification message to your smartphone when the download has been completed.
To complete the set-up, re-open the App. You’ll be prompted to create an optional 5-digit personal passcode should you want additional protection. To set a passcode, enter the passcode and then select save. Then re-enter your passcode and select confirm to verify it. You can also bypass setting an App passcode altogether. Should you change your mind later, you can set one up via the Settings Menu. After setting your passcode preference, you will be ready to start using the CIBC Mobile Payment App to make purchases.

1 You will receive a $25 credit (the “Credit”) when you download the new CIBC Mobile Payment App and then register for the mobile payment service through CIBC Telephone Banking between February 4, 2014 and April 30, 2014 (the “Offer Period”). Offer applies to the primary cardholder and each authorized user on the same credit card account who register for the mobile payment service during the Offer Period. Limit one Credit per Primary Cardholder and per each Authorized User. Credit will be awarded to the primary cardholder on the credit card account and will be applied within 60 days from the date that the registration for the mobile payment service was completed by the primary cardholder or authorized user (as applicable). Credit card account must be open and in good standing at the time the $25 Credit is awarded. Offer cannot be combined with any other CIBC offer. Offer may be revoked if you appear to be manipulating or abusing it, or are engaged in any suspicious or fraudulent activity, as determined by CIBC in its sole discretion. Offer may be withdrawn or changed without notice at any time.

2 You are not liable for unauthorized credit card transactions as long as you comply with the CIBC Cardholder Agreement, which includes reviewing each monthly statement and reporting possible unauthorized or fraudulent transactions to CIBC within 30 days after the statement date.
