CIBC Advantage for Youth offers you unlimited free transactions on a Premium Growth Account. This account can be opened by anyone 18 years of age or younger with their parents' consent. Your parents will have the option to determine how much access to the account you will have.

Interest is calculated on each day's final balance and is paid to you monthly. If you have less than $60,000 in your account, interest will be paid on the entire account balance at the interest rate for the interest tier into which the closing balance falls.

That means the higher your balance, the more interest you can collect on your money. You'll earn an even better rate on the portion of the final daily balance that is over $60,000.

There are special features for your parent or guardian to help keep your savings on the right track.
Receive full access to the account through CIBC branches.
Your parent or guardian will decide whether or not you have chequing or electronic access.

To open this account, drop in to your CIBC branch and speak with a Personal Banker. You can also call 1-800-465-CIBC (2422) to start your application or get more information. Your youth benefits last until you reach age 19, at which time standard fees will apply to your Premium Growth Account.
