CIBC Retail Markets comprises CIBC's retail and wealth management businesses. We provide a full range of financial products and services to almost 11 million personal, wealth and small business clients, as well as investment management services globally to retail and institutional clients. In addition, we offer a full range of financial services to clients in 17 regional markets in the Caribbean through FirstCaribbean International Bank.
CIBC World Markets
CIBC World Markets is the wholesale and corporate banking arm of CIBC, providing a range of integrated credit and capital markets products, investment banking, and merchant banking to clients in key financial markets in North America and around the world. We provide innovative capital solutions and advisory expertise across a wide range of industries as well as top-ranked research for our corporate, government and institutional clients.
Functional Groups
There are 5 functional groups in CIBC which provide infrastructure support services:
- Administration, Technology and Operations - comprises our technology infrastructure and solutions, operations, human resources and communications and public affairs
- Corporate Development - partners with CIBC's lines of business to identify opportunities for growth and to increase the value of existing businesses
- Finance - provides accounting and financial services to CIBC and its strategic business lines through effective governance and decision support processes
- Legal and Regulatory Compliance - provides leadership on governance and regulatory requirements and engages in a wide range of support services
- Risk Management - measures, monitors and controls CIBC's exposure to risk
