The University of Western Ontario
ReConnect is the first executive development program in Canada designed to help women return to their careers with confidence. As the program's Founding Sponsor, CIBC is providing $1 million over five years. This will fund program development, underwrite costs for participants and provide financial assistance to ensure access for women with financial need. The course will be taught by faculty from The Richard Ivey School of Business with ongoing participation from CIBC's senior leaders.

University of Waterloo, Ontario
The University of Waterloo has embarked on a $260-million private sector capital campaign to create scholarships, faculty chairs and fellowships, as well as upgrading campus infrastructure. CIBC has committed a multi-year donation of $2 million over 10 years, beginning in 2003.
Junior Achievement, PEI
CIBC is proud to be an ongoing partner of Junior Achievement, a high school-based organization that teaches students how to plan, start and develop a small business. In addition to our corporate support, many employees volunteer as student advisors and mentors.
University of Saskatchewan
CIBC's donation to the CIBC Centre for Agricultural Entrepreneurship will help College of Agriculture students be better prepared for work in the Canadian agri-business industry. The Centre will enhance the teaching of entrepreneurship and employment skills, while incorporating a wider range of work experience options through mentorships with successful entrepreneurs and successful agri-business enterprises.
Université de Montréal, Quebec
CIBC contributed $1.25 million over 5 years in support of a Chair in breast cancer research. Through its World of Projects campaign, which encompasses more than 150 varied research projects, the Université de Montréal is solidifying its reputation as a centre of excellence. This donation also supports l'École des Hautes Études Commerciales et L'École Polytechnique de Montréal.
University of Northern British Columbia
A multi-year commitment of $250,000 by CIBC to the Northern Advancement Program offers aboriginal students and those living in remote northern areas access to a university education. Through this program, students have the option to obtain practical experience through mentorships, practicums and co-op placements.
