Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Quebec
Through a 5-year financial commitment, CIBC is assisting the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts with its ongoing work to present leading exhibits, acquire new works of art and undertake renovations. CIBC also donated a painting by Quebec artist Jean-Paul Riopelle to the museum in 2002.

In partnership with CIBC, the YMCA is connecting with newcomers through a new program called Access to Opportunity™. This unique program helps newcomers break down barriers to employment while building confidence and awareness of financial services in Canada.

The University of Western Ontario
ReConnect is the first executive development program in Canada designed to help women return to their careers with confidence. As the program's Founding Sponsor, CIBC is providing $1 million over five years. This will fund program development, underwrite costs for participants, and provide financial assistance to ensure access for women with financial need.

Waterfront Regeneration Trust, Ontario
CIBC's 3-year contribution of $250,000 has helped the Waterfront Regeneration Trust expand its Lake Ontario Waterfront Investment Program. This expansion is changing the face of the waterfront for towns and cities stretching from Trenton to Niagara-on-the-Lake. In 1996, CIBC became the first major corporate supporter of the Waterfront Trail with a donation of $1 million over 5 years.

Youth
Dans la rue, Quebec
Montreal priest Father Emmett Johns, known affectionately as Pops, has been taking his van to the streets 5 nights a week for the past 14 years. Each year, he distributes close to 10,000 emergency food bags to street kids. At his day centre, Dans la rue, Father Johns also offers educational, work, drug abuse and scholarship programs for young people aged 12 to 24. CIBC proudly supports Father Johns' work in the community.
