Work-life Balance

Work-life Balance

Individuals have different needs and work preferences at various stages in their careers. At CIBC, we are proud to offer alternative work arrangements, wherever possible, to help our employees balance their personal and professional commitments.

Flexible work hours: If the nature of your job allows, you and your supervisor work out an arrangement that allows you to work full-time, but with modified hours so that you can fulfil personal commitments like volunteer work or picking up children.

Telecommuting: Some positions at CIBC allow you to work away from your office/branch for some or most of your work week.

Part-time hours and job-sharing: Some positions are part-time or provide job-sharing opportunities where you work less than 37.5 hours, but more than 7.5 hours, per week. Your compensation, salary-related benefits and vacation time are adjusted accordingly, while your medical and dental benefits remain the same as that of full-time employees if you work at least 15 hours per week.
