General Resumé Tips
- Pay careful attention to spelling, punctuation, grammar, and style
- Organize information in a logical fashion
- Keep descriptions clear and to the point
- Use a simple, easy-to-read font, such as Arial, Times, or Verdana
- Tailor your information to the job you're seeking
- Be accurate - if you are selected for a role, CIBC will conduct data verification of all information presented on your resumé
Interview Tips
- Arrive on time, preferably a few minutes early
- Research CIBC and the related department
- Know the position description
- Come prepared to discuss your skills and experience as they relate to the position
- Prepare questions you would like to ask
- Bring to the interview: several copies of your resumé, samples of your work, and a pen to take notes
