The Technology and Operations (T&O) group spans the areas of technology operations and solutions, governance and security, global operations, and INTRIA - our subsidiary company that provides items processing, currency and print services to CIBC and to other Canadian companies. This group manages and enhances the technology and operational processes that run CIBC's businesses worldwide, and provides specialized service and advice to our business partners.

Global Operations & INTRIA

Global Operations & INTRIA provide a wide range of back office services that are critical to the successful delivery of products and services for clients in CIBC's Retail and World Markets businesses, as well as third-party corporations.

Global Operations consists of retail, wholesale and wealth management back office support.

Activities within Global Operations:

Account, loan, mortgage and brokerage transaction processing
Electronic bank servicing
Records management
Daily account reconciliation
Trade reporting, clearance, settlement and custodial services
Trade settlement and unitholder record keeping for CIBC proprietary fund families
Payment, treasury operations, and credit processing and controls for CIBC's brokerage and wholesale business units
Trade enrichment and control
Analysis and reporting of daily market and credit risk
Portfolio valuation and calculation of daily profit and loss
Financial reporting to the General Ledger of Assets & Liabilities and Period Profit & Loss
Legal documentation of over-the-counter derivative transactions

INTRIA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CIBC that provides cheque processing, currency and print services to CIBC and other Canadian corporations.

Activities within INTRIA:

Currency services, including the processing of bank machine envelopes, Treasury bills and commercial deposits, as well as cash forecasting and reconciliation performed for bank machines and treasury management
Cheque processing services
Print services, including statement creation, print, mail and electronic document management services
Remittance services, including processing invoices and bills, as well as retail and wholesale lock box services
