Verified by Visa is a free password protection service brought to you by CIBC Credit Card Services in partnership with Visa. As part of CIBC's customer protection commitment, the Verified by Visa service works to ensure that you alone can use your credit card online when shopping at participating merchant sites.

How do I shop using Verified by Visa?

Once you have registered for the service and when you shop online at a Verified by Visa enabled store, simply proceed to the payment page as you normally would.

You will then be presented with a Verified by Visa pop-up window that will list the details of your transaction and ask you to provide your personal password. Enter your password and select Submit.

From this point on, your transaction will proceed as it always has. It's that simple and secure. You now have increased confidence and peace of mind, online.

Where can I shop using Verified by Visa?

You can shop at any online store that has the Verified by Visa logo. For the list of participating online stores click here. As new merchants add Verified by Visa to their offering, this list will continue to grow.
