To access your accounts through any CIBC Instant Teller®, you must set up and maintain a 4 digit password known as your Personal Identification Number, or PIN.
Once you have obtained a new CIBC Convenience Card® from a CIBC branch, you have one hour to use that card at a CIBC Instant Teller to set your passwords for access to all CIBC electronic banking channels.
The bank machine will prompt you through the process of selecting your PIN for bank machine access and your Telephone Banking password, which is also your temporary Online Banking password.
On the PIN entry screen, select "PIN Options" at the bottom right hand corner of the screen to set up your new PIN.
If you wish to change your PIN, simply go to any bank machine in the CIBC network and select "Other Services" from the main menu. Changing your PIN will not alter your password for Online Banking or Telephone Banking.
