  1. How do I change my address information with CIBC?

    If you move, you should contact us to ensure that you continue to receive your statements through the mail. You can change your address information with CIBC online, by phone or in person at any CIBC branch. Joint account holders should update their information separately if both of you are moving.

    To change your address in CIBC Online Banking:

    1. Sign on to Online Banking.
    2. Select "Customer Services" in the left column of your "My Accounts" page.
    3. Select "Change your address" and enter your updated information.
    4. For joint account holders that are both moving, both parties must follow steps 1 to 3 to ensure this information is updated.

    To change your address by phone:

    • Call Telephone Banking toll-free at 1-800-465-2422.
    • Outside Canada and the U.S., call (902) 420-2422 (long-distance charges apply)

    To change your address in person:

    Visit a CIBC branch.

    Updating address information for:

    • VISA customers: if a VISA card is the only product you have with CIBC, please call CIBC Credit Card Services directly at 1-800-465-4653. If you're calling from abroad, the number is (514) 861-4653. Collect calls are accepted. Agents are available to assist you from Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., eastern time.
    • CIBC Wood Gundy customers: call 1-800-387-2979
    • Customers with Group Investment Services: contact your plan administrator
    • Investor's Edge customers: call 1-800-567-3343. Investment representatives are available Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern time, Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time.
    • If you have only a CIBC credit card, call Credit Card Services toll-free at 1-800-465-4653.
    • Outside Canada and the U.S., call collect (514) 861-4653.
