How are Dividend Dollars™ awarded?
This is an annual program. This means that Dividend Dollars™ are accumulated each month, beginning with the January statement, and awarded at the end of the year as a credit on the December statement. Provided your account is in good standing, you should see this as a line item on your December statement summary, as well as in an accompanying statement message to reinforce your annual dividend amount. After Dividend Dollars are awarded on the December statement, the Dividend Account will be reset to $0.00 and the Program will begin again with the January billing cycle (which starts immediately after the December statement is issued).

Will the Aeroplan program ever be cancelled?
CIBC Aerogold VISA cards and CIBC Aero Classic VISA cards earn Aeroplan Miles in Aeroplan, Air Canada's frequent flyer program. We are not aware of any plans to cancel the program.
Air Miles, another reward program, once offered collectors travel on Canadian Airlines. Since Air Canada has purchased Canadian Airlines, Air Miles collectors will have already been converted to Aeroplan Members and will be able to book flights with both airlines.

Any Aeroplan Miles previously transmitted to Aeroplan prior to the cancellation of the credit card account will not be forfeited.
When a Dividend Card/Dividend Platinum cardholder chooses to transfer to another CIBC credit card or to close his or her account before December, he or she will forfeit any of the Dividend Dollars accumulated to date. Cardholders cannot have their Dividend Dollars awarded before December.
When an Aventura Gold cardholder chooses to cancel his or her account, they will have the opportunity to redeem their Aventura Points up to 60 days after the date of the account cancellation.
