A faster, easier way to file information and pay government taxes online.

All businesses are required to remit taxes to Federal and Provincial government agencies. CIBC's Government Payment and Filing Service was designed to provide a simpler and faster way to remit payment to give you more control over your cash flow.

Information you need to know

Feature Description
Service charges There are no enrolment fees.
There is a service charge of $2.00 per payment/filing, or $2.50 per payment/filing if you are receiving the optional Transaction Alert Messages.
Processing cut-off times Payments are processed overnight on a business day. To ensure tax payments are paid when due, payments must be entered for processing before midnight, Eastern Time, on the day immediately before the due date.
Payment authorization process You determine how many authorized users are required to approve any single payment or filing.
Optional Transaction Alert Messages An e-mail notification is sent to all authorized users in any of the following situations:
  • A transaction has been initiated to be processed (no approval required)
  • A post-dated transaction will be be processed in 7 calendar days
  • A transaction has been initiated and requries approval (transaction in pending status)
  • A pending transaction will expire in 7 calendar days (this message will be delivered to authorized users 7 calendar days before the transaction expiration date, indicating an approval is required).
