Victor G. Dodig

President and Chief Executive Officer

CIBC Wealth Management provides relationship-based advisory, sales, service and product solutions to the full spectrum of wealth-building clients in Canada and overseas. The business is comprised of full service and online brokerage, as well as asset management, which develops and packages a wide range of financial products, including mutual funds and managed solutions.

Prior to joining CIBC, Mr. Dodig was managing director and chief executive officer of UBS Global Asset Management (Canada). Previous to this, he was managing director and chief executive officer of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers Canada. Mr. Dodig has also held various positions with McKinsey and Company Inc. and Kraft General Foods Inc.

Mr. Dodig earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, where he was elected a Baker Scholar, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto. He also earned a diploma in Business and Government in the European Union from Institute d'Etudes Politiques in Paris, France.

Mr. Dodig is a member of the boards of directors for the Soulpepper Theatre Company and the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation.
