Vice-President - Currency Management

Joined CIBC Asset Management in September 2007. Harvinder is a member of the Asset Allocation and Quantitative team, operating from within the firm's Investment Management Platform. He is responsible for setting currency exposure for all active currency mandates and for building a thorough quantitative process to support decision-making.

Master of Arts in Economics and Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University (Montreal); Harvinder is also a CFA charterholder.

Various positions at State Street Global Markets from 2000 to 2007, including Vice President, Senior Macro Strategist (London), Head of Currency Research, Asia-Pacific (Sydney), and Senior Strategist (Boston); Senior Economist at IDEAglobal (New York) from 1996 to 2000; Analyst at the Bank of Canada (Ottawa) from 1995 to 1996.
