Duncan Webster, CFA

Chief Investment Officer and Head of CIBC Global Asset Management Inc.

Duncan Webster joined CIBC Asset Management in June 2008. Mr. Webster has day-to-day management responsibility for all investment management and distribution activities of the firm, which counts more than 125 employees managing over $60 billion in assets. These assets include those under institutional money management for pension funds, endowments and insurance funds, private wealth management, and those that are part of the CIBC family of mutual funds and portfolio solutions.

Mr. Webster has over 20 years of investment experience. Prior to joining CIBC Asset Management, Mr. Webster was the Head of Tactical Allocation and Capital Markets at Allianz Investment Management in Munich, and Co-Head of PIMCO Canada in Toronto. Earlier, he had his own investment advisory firm, was the Global Strategist at HypoVereinsbank in Munich and was Product Manager at Thomson Financial in London.

Mr. Webster earned a Master of Science degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics and Management Information Systems from McGill University in Montreal. He is also a CFA charterholder.
